Special Lenten Services:

Join our neighbors in worship this Lenten season.
Glenn Dale United Methodist Church (8500 Springfield Rd., Glenn Dale) will host mid-day Lenten luncheons each Wednesday beginning February 25 at 12:00 noon, followed by a brief program at 12:30 p.m. Canned goods and other shelf-stable items will be collected as a Lenten offering. Pastor King of Emmanuel United Methodist Church will be the guest speaker on March 11.

Beltsville Community Cats Paint and Pet | Sunday, March 29:

Beltsville Community Cats will host a family-friendly Paint & Pet event on Sunday, March 29, at Emmanuel United Methodist Church (11416 Cedar Lane). Participants will enjoy painting a cat-themed canvas and spending time with adoptable cats and kittens. Sessions will be held from 1–2 PM and 3–4 PM. A $7 donation per participant will be collected at the event. Please register by March 22 by emailing hello@beltsvillecats.net or calling 240-444-8353, and include your name, phone number, email address, and the number attending.

Join Johns Hopkins University for a free 4-week virtual series exploring how our communities influence cancer risk, prevention, and overall health.

Boy Scout Troop 1033 Mulch Sale:

Support our local Scouts through the Boy Scout Troop 1033 Spring Mulch Fundraiser! Orders are open now through March 14, 2026, with delivery on March 28 to homes in Beltsville and Calverton, or pickup available at Emmanuel UMC on Cedar Lane. A variety of products are available, including mulch, pine bark, compost, and soil blends. Proceeds support the Scouts’ programs, camp experiences, and outdoor activities, and approximately 33% of your purchase is tax-deductible (see receipt).
