Church Photo Sessions:

Professional photo sessions with local photographer John will be offered May 24, and June 14 starting at 9:30 a.m. Sessions are under 5 minutes and limited to 25 appointments per date (additional date may be added if needed). The $10 sitting fee is a gift for Emmanuel members and regular attendees. Prints available for purchase (8×10 – $4, 5×7 – $2; larger sizes available).

Pepco Rate Increase Public Hearing

Pepco is requesting to raise the rates residents pay for electric service. The Maryland Public Service Commission will hold an in-person public hearing on Wednesday, May 27 at 6:00 PM at the Laurel-Beltsville Senior Activity Center, 7120 Contee Road, Laurel, 20707. Residents are encouraged to attend and share how the proposed rate increase may impact their household. If you would like to speak during the hearing, advance sign-up is required by emailing kimberly.schock@maryland.gov no later than Monday, May 25 at 12:00 PM.

UpStage Artists Presents American Son

UpStage Artists presents American Son, a powerful drama by Christopher Demos-Brown exploring family, race, and justice.
