Food Distribution Update

After many years of serving our community, Emmanuel United Methodist Church's regular food pantry ministry has concluded due to the end of our partnership with the Capital Area Food Bank. We spent the last few months trying to find an alternative source in order for us to continue this ministry. Unfortunately, we were not able to and because of this it is no longer financially possible for the church to continue the ministry full time. We will continue to provide emergency assistance to individuals and families facing an immediate food crisis whenever possible. We are also exploring the possibility of a limited food distribution in November through donations from Boy Scout Troop 1033. We are deeply grateful to everyone who supported this ministry and to all those we have had the privilege of serving over the years.
Emergency Food Pantry Donations

We are collecting donations of shelf stable food for the emergency food pantry. You can drop donations off on Sunday mornings in the hallway before the sanctuary. You can also drop them off Monday and Wednesday between 10 am and noon.
