Winter Weather & Online Giving Reminder:
When winter weather keeps you from attending in person, online giving is always available. Winter brings added church expenses such as snow and ice removal and increased heating costs. Online giving is safe, secure, and helps support our ongoing ministry. Give anytime at: https://tinyurl.com/eumc20705giving
Communion Date Change:
Out of care for the safety and well-being of our church family during winter weather, we will move the celebration of Holy Communion to February 8. We look forward to gathering around the Lord’s Table together on that day and thank you for your understanding and grace.
Winter Weather Update:
When we have winter weather, the call for not having service will be made no later than 7:30 a.m. Sunday morning. Information about whether we will have an online service or if a video will be posted will be sent out to everyone through email and posted to our website and Facebook page.
February Potluck:
In celebration and appreciation of all the “souper” people of Emmanuel and your gracious support of our projects, UWFaith invites you to enjoy a bowl of delicious, nourishing soup following Sunday worship on February 8. Soup and chili, salad, cornbread, crackers, and drinks will be provided. If you would like to donate anything, desserts are welcome and appreciated.
Sharing Comfort This Winter:
Help us spread warmth and care—bring soup and crackers by Super Bowl Sunday, Sunday February 8 for care packages going out to our sick and shut-in later in February. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.

Feline the Love Fundraiser:
Support Beltsville Community Cats on Monday, February 10, during an all-day fundraiser at Franklins Restaurant, Brewery, and General Store, 5123 Baltimore Ave., Hyattsville. A portion of all dine-in, takeout, ice cream, and general store purchases will be donated to benefit local community cats.
Save the Date! Faithful Resistance:
A Public Witness for Immigrant Justice: On February 25, 2026, join ecumenical and interfaith leaders and communities in Washington, D.C. for a public witness grounded in worship, moral courage, and solidarity with our neighbors. The day will begin with worship, followed by a prayerful procession to the U.S. Capitol and afternoon congressional visits. Registration and more details coming soon!
