What We Offer
The United Methodist Women (UMW) is the largest denominational faith organization for women whose mission is fostering spiritual growth, developing leaders, and advocating for justice. The UMW is a community of women whose purpose is:
-
To know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ.
-
To develop a creative supportive fellowship.
-
To expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.
Members raise millions each year for programs and projects related to women, children, and youth in the United States and in more than 100 countries.
We have three annual fundraisers that raise money for missions
Other activities/programs may include general meetings with speakers covering educational and social issues and a Ladies Communion Breakfast in early May.
Our local unit consists of three small groups which are referred to as Circles. The UMW holds monthly circles meetings as follows:
-
Ellen Hoover Circle - 3rd Monday of every month 12 Noon
-
Susan Wesley Circle - 3rd Wednesday of every month 10 AM
-
Sisters in Spirit - 3rd Tuesday of every month 7:00 PM
